Pokémon GO announces City Safari event in Boston

Niantic has announced the Pokémon GO City Safari event for Boston, scheduled for September 26 and 27, 2026. The event will feature nine themed zones across the city, including Beacon Hill, the North End, Back Bay, the Financial District, Seaport, Fenway-Kenmore, Black Heritage Trail, Cambridge & Charlestown, and Malden.

Participants can engage in a stamp rally by visiting themed PokéStops and Gyms. A temporary Trainer Lounge will be located at Copley Square from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on both days, offering a space for community interaction and limited giveaways.

Additionally, the Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026. This follows the evolution of Niantic’s event structure, which transitioned from testing various event types in 2020 to the current seasonal formats.
