Pokémon GO live event announcements

Overview

Niantic has announced several upcoming Pokémon GO live events scheduled for late 2026.

In Boston, a City Safari event is set for September 26–27, 2026. The event will feature nine themed zones across the city, including Beacon Hill and the Financial District, where participants can engage in a stamp rally by visiting themed PokéStops and Gyms. A temporary Trainer Lounge will be available at Copley Square for community interaction.

Additionally, the ‘Wild Area’ event is scheduled for November 6–8, 2026, with in-person celebrations in Sendai, Japan, and Mexico City, Mexico. This marks the first time the experience will be held outside of Japan. The Sendai-Tohoku event aims to promote regional tourism, while the Mexico City event will feature special gameplay. Both locations will include the debuts of Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia during Max Battles. A global version of the Wild Area event will follow on November 14–15, 2026, featuring ‘mighty’ Pokémon with enhanced stats and exclusive GO Safari Balls.
