Pokémon GO announces PokéXciting! anniversary tour in Asia-Pacific

The Pokémon Company has announced the ‘PokéXciting!’ tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. The tour will consist of two-day events held in five Asia-Pacific cities between September 2026 and February 2027. The scheduled locations include Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Manila, and Bangkok.

Each event will feature a region-exclusive Pikachu with a unique costume color inspired by the local area. Players can also participate in Gigantamax Battles featuring Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. Other activities include a GO Stamp Rally, Timed Research, and special encounters with various Pokémon such as Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Eevee.

During a press conference in Singapore, The Pokémon Company noted a significant increase in the local fan base over the last decade, which has allowed for larger-scale events in the region. While the anniversary celebrations are extensive, officials confirmed that the upcoming mainline games, ‘Pokémon Winds and Waves’ for Nintendo Switch 2, will not be featured during the Singapore celebrations.
