The Pokémon Company has announced several initiatives to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise.

In the Asia-Pacific region, a ‘PokéXciting!’ anniversary tour is scheduled to take place between September 2026 and February 2027. The tour will include two-day events in Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Manila, and Bangkok. These events will feature region-exclusive Pikachu costumes, Gigantamax Battles, and various special Pokémon encounters.

Additionally, the company announced livestream panels for PokémonXP 2026, held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Scheduled broadcasts for August 28 and 29 will cover topics including the Trading Card Game, animation, and a developer spotlight on Pokémon Pokopia. The programming will also include a celebration of Pokémon GO’s tenth anniversary and a session with CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara reflecting on the brand’s three-decade history.
