Pokémon HOME to support FireRed and LeafGreen on October 7

The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon HOME will support Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen on October 7. This update follows the release of the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions of these titles.

To implement this integration, Pokémon HOME will undergo maintenance starting at 9:00 AM on October 7 (JST). During this period, all services will be unavailable, and users will need to update to version 4.1.0 on both Nintendo Switch and smartphone platforms.

The update allows players to transfer Pokémon from FireRed and LeafGreen to the Pokémon HOME database, enabling them to be used in other compatible games. Users should note that transfers from these titles to HOME are one-way and cannot be reversed. Additionally, the update will expand the Pokémon storage limit for Premium Plan users from 6,000 to 9,000 creatures.

Upon completing the digital Pokédex in the mobile version of Pokémon HOME, players will also be eligible to receive a special Celebi with the original nickname ‘Mitsurin’.
