The Pokémon Company and Koei Tecmo announced that the first installment of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass will be released on 5 August 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2. The paid DLC, titled Bubbly Basin (also known as Fondale Bolleblub, Fonds‑Bulleux, etc.), adds an underwater city where players can grow watermelons, power bubble machines, explore a deep‑sea trench, and build a Sharpedo submarine that serves as a secret‑base room. New water‑type Pokémon, outfits, a surf‑move boost, smoothies and buoyant building blocks are also included.

A free Version 2.0.0 update will be released the same day, teaching the Dive (Sub) move from Manaphy so all players can swim and construct underwater. The Expansion Pass will continue with Part 2 in late 2026, focusing on accessories and additional furniture, and Part 3 in 2027, which will introduce another new neighbourhood. The three‑part pass is priced at roughly €35 (≈ $35) and is already available for pre‑purchase on the Nintendo eShop.
