Pokémon Pokopia reaches 5 million copies sold globally

Pokémon Pokopia has reached a global milestone, selling 5 million copies in just over four months since its debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. The title's success as a life simulator has reinforced the new console's position as a primary platform for the Pokémon franchise.

In Italy, the game's creative tools were used by online communities, including content creator Ilias Cocchi Pontalti (known as Gidano) and the Animal Crossing Life community, to virtually reconstruct the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. This project, which included recreating the circuit, pit lanes, and a historic Formula 1 car, coincided with the Italian Grand Prix.

Content expansion is also underway via a paid expansion pass. The first chapter, titled ‘Fondale Bolleblub’, was released on August 5 and introduces an underwater city featuring new Pokémon, furniture, and recipes.
