Pokémon Pokopia reaches 5 million sales on Nintendo Switch 2

The Pokémon spin-off title Pokémon Pokopia has reached a major commercial milestone, surpassing 5 million copies sold on the Nintendo Switch 2 within four months of its March 2026 release.

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have released the first part of the game’s Expansion Pass, titled ‘Bubbly Basin’. This paid DLC introduces a new submerged city and various new Pokémon, recipes, and furniture. The expansion is accompanied by a free update that grants players the ability to dive, allowing the protagonist, a Ditto, to explore underwater environments freely.

New gameplay features include underwater construction and the ability to collect items like shells and fragments from the seabed. The update also introduces new decorative items such as floating lamps and beach-themed furniture. A second part of the Expansion Pass is scheduled for release in late 2026, which will include additional customization accessories for Pokémon and more furniture.
