Poland achieves highest pension system score in 15 years
Poland's pension system achieved its highest score since 2011, earning 58.4 points in the Marsh CFA Institute Global Pension Index 2026. Despite this improvement from 57 points in 2024, the country dropped two places to 38th out of 55 surveyed nations.
The system's performance was driven by significant progress in integrity, which scored 73.3 points due to improved regulatory oversight and management. However, the system scored lowest in sustainability, receiving 45.6 points as experts raised concerns regarding long-term financing amidst an aging population.
Poland currently falls into category C, alongside countries such as Taiwan, Italy, and Japan. The highest-rated systems, falling into category A, include the Netherlands, Denmark, Iceland, Singapore, Israel, and Australia.
