Poland adds endocrinology to national e‑registration system for specialists

From 1 August 2026 Poland’s central e‑registration platform will cover first‑time appointments with eight new specialist fields, including endocrinology, angiology, hepatology, immunology, nephrology, neonatology and pulmonology. The system lets patients nationwide view available slots, book or cancel appointments online, and join an automatic waiting‑list that assigns earlier dates when they become free. By 1 July facilities must route all specialist bookings through the platform, and the National Health Fund will fund only those services scheduled this way.

At the same time, the growing use of telemedicine is promoting online endocrine consultations. Remote visits enable patients with hormonal‑related symptoms—such as chronic fatigue, weight changes, menstrual disorders or fertility issues—to have their medical history and test results reviewed by an endocrinologist, receive a preliminary diagnosis and guidance on further steps without traveling to a clinic.
