Elbląg Bridge renovation to begin in late September

The renovation of the Cardinal Wyszyński Bridge in Elbląg is scheduled to begin at the end of September. The project is considered a high priority for ensuring safety and maintaining efficient communication within the city. The scope of work primarily involves replacing a bridge span, which will necessitate a temporary closure of the crossing.

To minimize disruptions, the city has coordinated the start date with ongoing roadwork at the Elbląg Wschód junction, managed by GDDKiA. The goal is to ensure that alternative routes, such as the S7 and S22, remain accessible during the bridge closure. A temporary crossing on Wapienna Street will be opened for passenger vehicles, operating in a one-way direction toward the city center. Heavy vehicles (over 3.5t) will be redirected to the European Union Route.
