Poland advances major road upgrades in Łódź and Masovian regions

Work has begun on a 2.7‑kilometre reconstruction of voivodeship road 785 between Silnica and Silniczka in Radomsko County, Łódź voivodeship. The project includes a new road surface, sidewalks, bus bays, drainage, lighting and amphibian passages, and is funded with 26.37 million zł in works and a total budget of 34.08 million zł from the 2021‑2027 EU Regional Funds. The section is closed to traffic and will remain so until an expected completion in April 2028.

Separately, a 999‑metre stretch of county road 1682 linking Stara Warka and Antoniówka in Grójec County, Masovian voivodeship, has been rebuilt. The upgrade, costing about 900 thousand zł, was jointly financed by the county and Gmina Warka, each covering half the expense. The works, carried out by BUDROMOST‑STARACHOWICE, added a new sub‑base, widened carriageway edges, drainage, and improved safety features. The modernised segment now offers a smoother, safer route for local residents, commuters and school traffic.
