Poland advances telemedicine and patient‑transport services

Poland is expanding its digital health offerings. Online medical consultations now include electronic prescriptions, digital sick‑leave documents and platforms that let patients book appointments, exchange records and receive medical advice remotely. These services operate under existing health‑care regulations and aim to reduce paperwork and improve access.

In a separate ruling, the Regional Administrative Court in Warsaw decided that a company offering patient transport to medical facilities does not qualify as a comprehensive health‑care provider. The firm seeks a transport licence to operate a mobile‑app service that lets patients arrange both medical appointments and accompanying transport. The decision clarifies that patient‑transport services are separate from medical care under Polish law.
