Poland: AI support grows for medical assistance
A study conducted by UCE Research and the Medigent Foundation indicates that 46.7% of Poles support the use of artificial intelligence to assist doctors in medical settings.
Rather than replacing medical professionals, the integration of AI is viewed as a way to alleviate administrative burdens. Potential applications include analyzing medical documentation, processing diagnostic images, interpreting test results, and managing patient queues. This support could address systemic issues in the Polish healthcare system, such as staff shortages, long waiting lists, and the significant amount of time doctors spend on repetitive administrative tasks, allowing them to focus more on clinical expertise and direct patient contact.
