Poland Boosts Business Grants in Wielkopolska and Free Driving Courses

The regional development agency WARP has extended the "Droga do zatrudnienia po węglu" programme to all residents of Eastern Wielkopolska. So far 72 companies—mostly sole‑trader enterprises—have been created with more than 9 million PLN in subsidies, and participants can receive up to 120 000 PLN to start a business. Applications for the September round will be limited to about 50 new applicants to keep the budget secured for the original target group of former miners.

Separately, the Orlen Foundation, in partnership with the Pankracy Foundation, launched the second edition of its "Mogę Więcej" initiative. Up to 40 young people in foster care across Poland will receive fully funded driving‑license courses, while a total of 120 participants will take road‑safety and first‑aid training. Applications are open until 7 September 2026.
