Poland: Civic Coalition leads in latest polls as PiS narrows gap

A new Social Changes poll conducted for Telewizja wPolsce24 and wPolityce.pl indicates that while the Civic Coalition (KO) remains the leading political force with 30.7% support, the current governing coalition would lose its parliamentary majority.

Law and Justice (PiS) has seen a rise in support, gaining 2.3 percentage points to reach 26.4%, narrowing the gap with KO to 4.3 points. Other parties projected to enter the Sejm include Konfederacja at 13.2%, New Left (Nowa Lewica) at 7.9%, and Grzegorz Braun’s Konfederacja Korony Polskiej at 7.3%.

Several parties currently in the governing coalition, including PSL and Polska 2050, failed to meet the electoral threshold in this survey. Mateusz Morawiecki’s Rozwój Plus party narrowly missed the threshold with 4.9% support. While right-wing parties PiS, Konfederacja, and Korona collectively reached 46.9%, the feasibility of a coalition between them remains uncertain due to potential difficulties in cooperating with Grzegorz Braun’s group.
