Poland marked the 106th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw and Polish Armed Forces Day on August 15, 2026, through various national and local commemorations.

In Warsaw, a major military parade featured nearly 2,000 soldiers, 300 vehicles, and dozens of aircraft. In Gdynia, a naval parade included 20 vessels, including ships from Sweden and Lithuania. Prime Minister Donald Tusk attended the Gdynia event, emphasizing that state strength, secure borders, and military investment are essential for peace.

President Karol Nawrocki delivered a speech calling for greater Polish defense autonomy, stating, “We cannot lock our security in a safe to which the keys are in other European capitals.” He advocated for a philosophy of national sovereignty alongside international alliances.

Local celebrations occurred across the country, including patriotic concerts in Konin, memorial services in Koźmin Wielkopolski and Zgorzelec, and a commemorative gala at the Museum of the Battle of Warsaw in Ossowa. In Łysakowo, the “DRUH” Association organized shooting competitions and training for residents to commemorate the historic victory.
