Poland advances major road projects including S19, S11 and regional upgrades
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) received a permit to build a new 12‑km segment of the S19 expressway in Podlaskie, linking Czarna Białostocka with the Białystok North junction. The segment will follow the existing DK19 route and will be part of a planned 80‑km Via Carpatia corridor.
In Opole, the regional road intersection at Monte Casino, Plebiscite, Kośnego and Pileckiego streets was completed, costing 28.9 million zł and funded 80 % by EU regional funds. The Łódź voivodeship will carry out partial resurfacing on DK12 and DK74 from 6 July, with traffic restrictions in place.
A contract worth 153.4 million zł was awarded to Budimex to build the Mierzyn bypass on DK10 near Szczecin, with completion expected in early 2029. Siemianowice Śląskie signed an agreement for the first 500‑metre section of its West Bypass, costing 13.5 million zł and slated for completion by August 2027.
Koszalin opened a new connector between Szczecińska and Bowid streets, part of a 101.7 million zł investment to improve access to industrial zones and the S11 expressway.
Additional local works include the refurbishment of a municipal road in Mogilno, a 400‑metre gmina road in Drzewianowo (≈70 thousand zł), and the second phase of the Biała Góra road in Zielonki Wieś (≈9.8 million zł). In Radzymin, the Zwycięska street section is closed for reconstruction starting 6 July.
