Poland conducts civil defense exercises and training

Local authorities in Poland are implementing various civil defense and population protection initiatives. In Dzierżoniów, county-level exercises are scheduled for October 27, 2026, near the Starostwo Powiatowe on Świdnicka Street. The drills involve emergency services, inspections, and the municipal guard to improve inter-agency cooperation, response procedures, and evacuation readiness. Residents should expect potential traffic disruptions, increased emergency vehicle presence, and simulated rescue actions involving smoke and sound effects.

Additionally, the municipality of Marki is offering free civil defense and population protection training sessions held over three weekends in November. The program covers emergency signals, evacuation procedures, first aid, and psychological preparedness. The training is funded by the state budget through the Population Protection and Civil Defense Program for 2025-2026.
