To optimize human resource utilization, the General Staff is piloting the mandatory Military Competence Questionnaire (WKK) to identify specific professional talents, such as pilots or dentists. Full implementation of the WKK is expected after 2027. These reforms align with a significant increase in defense spending; in 2026, Poland’s total defense effort is projected to reach approximately 200.1 billion PLN, or 4.81% of the forecasted GDP.
