Poland cucumber imports led by Spain in first half of 2026

According to data from Statistics Poland, the country imported 48,870 tons of cucumbers and gherkins during the first half of 2026, with a total value of 343.26 million PLN.

Spain was the leading supplier in the first half of the year, providing 12,160 tons, which accounted for nearly one-quarter of all imports. Romania and Germany followed as the second and third largest suppliers, respectively, with 7,580 tons and 7,340 tons. Other notable exporters included the Netherlands and Turkey.

Market dynamics shifted significantly in June, when Romania saw a major increase, supplying 3,620 tons—more than half of the total imports for that month. During the same period, Spanish deliveries dropped to 195 tons.
