Poland delivers first Kroton-bis command vehicles for Abrams tanks
The Armament Agency of the Ministry of National Defence has announced the delivery of the first Kroton-bis command vehicles to the Polish Armed Forces. Developed by Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) in cooperation with WB Group, these vehicles are built on the KTO Rosomak chassis.
The 12 vehicles are specifically designed to support battalion-level command and staff processes for units equipped with M1A2SEPv3 Abrams main battle tanks. The vehicles feature advanced communication equipment capable of secure information exchange via radio and wired means, supporting classifications up to NATO SECRET.
The contract, valued at approximately 268 million PLN gross, was signed in December 2023. The delivery schedule for the full order spans 2025–2026. These command vehicles allow for operational command during both movement and stationary positions, providing four simultaneous workstations for battalion staff.
