Poland economy grows 3.8% in Q2 2026
Poland’s economy expanded by 3.8% in real terms year-on-year during the second quarter of 2026, according to preliminary data from Statistics Poland (GUS). On a seasonally adjusted basis, the GDP increased by 0.9% quarter-on-quarter, marking the seventh consecutive quarter of growth.
This growth rate significantly outpaces the European Union average, which fluctuates between 1.3% and 1.4%. Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domański noted that the expansion is driven by unlocked investments, European funds, and local government financing.
Economists attribute much of this momentum to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO), which has accelerated infrastructure projects. While the economy shows stability following the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, challenges remain, including inflation reaching 3% in July and potential impacts from global oil price volatility.
