Poland expands asbestos removal funding for Poznań and Godów

The city of Poznań announced an additional recruitment round for its asbestos‑removal program, targeting structures containing the highly carcinogenic mineral. The effort aims to accelerate the safe demolition, collection, transport and disposal of asbestos‑containing materials.

In the neighboring Opole region, the municipality of Godów introduced a grant covering up to 1,500 zł per tonne of asbestos removed from roofs of residential and agricultural buildings. The subsidy pays for demolition, collection, transport and disposal costs, with applications to be submitted to the municipal office by 31 July 2026.
