Poland expands defence ties with Canada and UK

Poland is expanding its international defence partnerships through new collaborations with Canadian and British entities.

CAE and Poland’s WB Electronics have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance training and operational readiness for unmanned and autonomous systems. The partnership aims to combine CAE’s simulation and synthetic training expertise with WB Electronics’ unmanned platform technology to support military forces in Canada, Poland, and allied nations.

Simultaneously, the United Kingdom and Poland have opened a new MBDA missile logistics facility in Czosnów, Poland. The centre will support Poland’s PILICA+ air defence programme and contribute to the broader NAREW air defence programme, which is valued at over £4 billion. UK personnel will work with Polish counterparts to provide maintenance, support, and training, strengthening the integrated air defence network on NATO’s eastern flank.
