Poland expands drone infrastructure with regional network and university centre

The Podkarpackie Voivodeship signed cooperation agreements with local municipalities and the Polish Air Navigation Agency to build a regional drone monitoring network. The project, part of the Podkarpackie Centre of Competence and funded through the National Recovery Plan, will establish "drone highways" equipped with ADS‑B, FLARM and Remote ID technologies to enable safe drone operations for training, research and industry.

At the same time, AGH University of Science and Technology launched the Centre of Drones AGH (CEDR AGH). The centre integrates expertise from multiple faculties, operates about 50 certified drones, and has around 60 qualified pilots. It will provide research and development facilities, including a dedicated flight enclosure, a metrology laboratory and a mobile research base, and will offer new courses and postgraduate programmes to support the growing drone sector in Poland.
