Overview

In early July, Polish universities began an international summer school focused on drone pilot training, marking the first coordinated educational effort in the country’s emerging unmanned‑air‑system sector.

By the end of the month, the initiative had broadened into a multi‑stage rollout. The Podkarpackie Voivodeship signed agreements with local municipalities and the Polish Air Navigation Agency to create a regional drone monitoring network, featuring "drone highways" equipped with ADS‑B, FLARM and Remote ID. Concurrently, AGH University of Science and Technology opened the Centre of Drones AGH (CEDR AGH), a hub housing around 50 certified drones, a metrology laboratory, a mobile research base and new postgraduate courses, all intended to support research, industry and further training in Poland’s growing drone sector.
