Poland funds 843 heavy‑truck EV chargers and adds new fast‑charging stations in Silesia

The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) approved funding for 170 projects that will build 843 publicly accessible zero‑emission heavy‑truck charging stations across Poland. Most stations will be placed along the TEN‑T core network, in logistics centres, transport bases and intermodal terminals, with a minimum power of 350 kW and total capacity of more than 600 MW. Funding is split between 129 projects on the TEN‑T network (over 742 million PLN) and 41 projects at logistics hubs (200 million PLN), also supporting energy‑storage installations.

In addition, Tauron Nowe Technologie received over 6 million PLN from the Silesian Regional Fund for two new fast‑charging stations – one in Katowice on Góreckiego Street and another at Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice. These stations join the eTAURON network, which aims to reach 1,000 charging points by 2035. Both initiatives are intended to cut CO₂ and NOx emissions, improve air quality along major transport routes, and accelerate electrification of road freight and passenger vehicles in Poland.
