Poland grain and rapeseed prices rise as harvest nears end

As the harvest season concludes in Poland, grain and rapeseed prices are experiencing upward trends. Market participants report increases in rates for wheat, triticale, and rapeseed, with some price adjustments averaging between 10 and 20 PLN per ton.

Corn is emerging as a significant market driver, with prices rising even before the peak of its harvest. The market is currently influenced by several factors, including lower crop yields compared to previous years and ongoing logistical challenges in the Black Sea region, which impact export markets and MATIF quotations.

While some grain buyers note that geopolitical tensions and stock exchange fluctuations are having a diminishing impact on local pricing compared to previous years, the limited supply is driving increased interest from processors. Regional reports indicate varying harvest statuses, with some areas like Mazury nearing completion while others await the corn harvest.
