Poland health report shows gap in preventive medical screenings
A new report on health trends in Poland reveals that while nearly 90 percent of the population actively maintains healthy habits, there is a significant gap in systematic medical check-ups. Approximately 31 percent of adults monitor their health independently rather than through professional medical consultations.
The reluctance to undergo preventive screenings is particularly pronounced among men, with 39 percent expressing a lack of interest in medical examinations, compared to 25 percent of women. Experts suggest that many individuals avoid doctors because they feel well and lack specific symptoms. Currently, the fear of cancer is the primary motivator for diagnostic testing, driving 57 percent of respondents to seek screenings, whereas other health concerns do not trigger the same proactive behavior.
