Zdynia welcomes thousands to the 44th Łemkowska Watra cultural festival
The 44th Łemkowska Watra was held in Zdynia from 17 – 19 July 2026 under the theme “Nie ma jak w domu”. The three‑day event drew thousands of participants from Poland and abroad, offering folk‑music concerts, choral performances, traditional‑craft workshops, a chess tournament, volleyball matches and a demonstration of dry wood distillation by Tomasz Doszna.
On 25 July 2026 the 14th edition of SpłyWarka took place in Warka, featuring sixteen competing singers and the Grand Prix statue created by Jarosław Gabler. A week later, on 1 August 2026, the XXVII EKO CYPEL sailing festival ran in Polańczyk, combining the Solina Sportgas Sailing Cup regatta with concerts by Iwona Kobylińska, Hambawenah, Pod Wiatr, EKT Gdynia and The Cloverhearts.
Additional cultural activities in the same period included a free Zumba session on 26 July 2026 at MOSiR Żory, organised by Marzena Szymańska and Marta Langowska, and a brass‑band concert in Niepołomice featuring the Representative Brass Band TEMPO from Iwanowice.
