Poland hosts community integration festivals in Ostrow Wielkopolski and Chojnice
In Ostrow Wielkopolski, the Ostrowski Amphitheatre was filled with children and seniors from the Day House "Senior+" on Raszkowska Street. Seniors performed theatre, dance and songs under the direction of Bogna Kowalska, receiving enthusiastic applause and highlighting the value of inter‑generational interaction.
On June 12, 2026, Chojnice held the County Integration Day despite overcast weather. Organized by the Association "Support for Everyone" with regional partners, the event featured an artistic showcase of people with disabilities, performances by the regional band "Chojnioki", a comedy program, and workshops for children. Information booths offered legal, rehabilitation and social‑security advice, while stalls displayed handmade crafts created during therapy sessions.
Both festivals emphasized community cohesion, the inclusion of seniors and persons with disabilities, and the creation of a barrier‑free social environment in their respective Polish locales.
