Poland hosts free medical screening events in Przasnysz and Toruń

Various free medical screening initiatives are being organized in Poland to promote public health and early disease detection.

In Przasnysz, a health picnic titled ‘In the heart of Poland – for a healthy heart’ will offer free diagnostic services. Specialized mobile units, including a cardiobus, spirobus, and glucobus, will provide ECGs, blood pressure measurements, lung function assessments, and glucose testing. The event also includes BMI and body composition analysis, consultations with dietitians and personal trainers, and physical activities such as dance and spinal health exercises.

In Toruń, the ‘Keep Your Sight’ educational campaign is hosting free eye examinations specifically for seniors over the age of 70, particularly those with diabetes. Held at the Ludwik Rydygier Provincial Hospital, the program focuses on the early detection of retinal diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME). Participants will undergo optical coherence tomography (OCT) and visual acuity tests.
