Poland hosts June 2026 Catholic ceremonies honoring martyrs and families

A lecture on the upcoming beatification of nine Salesian martyrs will be held on 6 June at the Saint John Paul II Sanctuary in Kraków. Organized by the Jan Pawel II Institute of Intercultural Dialogue, the presentation recounts the lives of the priests who died in Auschwitz and Dachau and notes that a young Karol Wojtyła, the future Pope John Paul II, witnessed some of their arrests.

On 14 June 2026, the Diocesan Sanctuary in Rudach will host a Metropolitan Indulgence and Family Festival. The celebration begins with a solemn Mass led by Archbishop Metropolitan of Katowice Andrzej Przybylski, followed by a family‑friendly fair on the abbey grounds, featuring activities, meals and opportunities for communal prayer.
