Poland hosts major folk music festival in Kazimierz Dolny and citywide celebrations in Poznań
Kazimierz Dolny, a small town on the Vistula River, is hosting the 60th edition of the National Folk Bands and Singers Festival. The four‑day event features traditional ensembles, workshops on folk instruments and dance, and a food market showcasing regional cuisine, aiming to preserve and promote Polish folk heritage.
Meanwhile, the city of Poznań is marking its nameday celebrations with a series of free events from June 27 to 29, including historic walks, workshops for children and adults, dance performances, a theatrical recital by soprano Hanna Banaszak, and a wandering nighttime happening that will link the city’s historic sites. The program also includes an honorary citizen ceremony and various cultural and sports activities across the city centre.
