Poland hosts major pilgrimages at Tarnów and Lichnow sanctuaries

The Marian sanctuary in Tarnów began a week‑long indulgence on 12 July, inviting pilgrims from Poland and abroad to seek spiritual aid. Over the seven days, roughly 500 people joined the Brotherhood of the Holy Scapular, participating in daily Masses and prayers.

At the Lichnow shrine, the Oaza Chorych “Bartymeusz” retreat ran from 5 to 13 July, drawing more than 150 participants, including the sick, disabled, seniors and volunteers. Attendees engaged in Eucharistic adoration, conferences, and evening gatherings with psychologists and music. The community, named after the biblical blind beggar Bartimaeus, emphasizes mutual support, with volunteers reporting renewed spiritual strength.

Both events illustrate the continued vitality of Catholic pilgrimage in Poland, offering participants opportunities for prayer, community, and personal renewal.
