Poland hosts oncology conferences showcasing modern treatment and free screenings

In Kolbuszowa, a conference at the Ethnographic Museum promoted a 30 million‑zł project to equip the local county hospital with advanced equipment, including a Da Vinci X surgical robot, AI‑assisted teleradiology, a 64‑slice CT scanner, a thulium laser and AI‑enhanced imaging systems. The hospital, now a regional leader in urological oncology, reports hundreds of prostate and kidney‑cancer operations performed with the new technology and plans to begin robot‑assisted surgeries in August 2026. It also collaborates on tumor metabolomics research with partners in the United States and Brazil.

Meanwhile, Legionowo will hold an open oncology conference on 18 June at the district office, offering free PSA and CA‑125 cancer tests, physiotherapy and psychological consultations, and a public walk promoting physical activity. The event aims to educate patients, families and health professionals about the full continuum of cancer care—from prevention and early detection to treatment and rehabilitation—while fostering regional cooperation among medical and local authorities.
