Poland implements comprehensive societal defense and military programs

The Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung has highlighted Poland's comprehensive approach to national security, noting that the country is preparing not only through military procurement but also through societal readiness. According to a report from the Swiss Institute for Global Affairs, Warsaw is treating security as a collective societal task in response to aggression from Russia and the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Key components of this strategy include a goal to train 400,000 citizens by next year to respond to security threats. Educational initiatives include military instruction in schools regarding first aid and air raid protocols, summer military preparation courses for youth, and mandatory firearms training for older students. Additionally, the government is collaborating with non-governmental organizations and the Catholic Church to prepare seniors for hybrid threats and wartime scenarios.
