Poland extends security alert levels through November 2026
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has signed orders to extend several security alert levels in Poland, effective from September 1, 2026, through November 30, 2026. These measures are part of the country's anti-terrorism framework.
The BRAVO alert level will be implemented across the entire territory of Poland, as well as for Polish energy infrastructure located outside the country's borders. Additionally, the BRAVO-CRP alert level, specifically addressing cyberspace threats, will also apply nationwide. The BRAVO level is described as a preventive measure in response to the regional geopolitical situation and hybrid attacks attributed to Russia and Belarus.
A higher third-level alert, known as CHARLIE, will be introduced specifically for railway lines managed by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. and PKP Linia Hutnicza Szerokotorowa Sp. z o.o. This heightened status for the rail sector is intended to ensure increased protection of critical transport infrastructure.
