Poland implements new national and school evacuation safety plans

Poland is implementing new safety and evacuation measures at both the national and institutional levels. A draft regulation published by the Government Legislation Centre aims to raise safety standards in all schools and kindergartens, both public and private. Under these proposed rules, students and staff will have three months to familiarize themselves with evacuation plans, including emergency exits and emergency procedures. Additionally, educational facilities will be required to conduct practical safety training and exercises at least twice a year to reduce reaction times and stress during real threats.

On a broader scale, the National Evacuation Plan has been officially approved. Developed by the Government Centre for Security based on provincial plans, the document outlines how to organize the movement of large populations during crises, such as armed conflicts, industrial disasters, floods, or major fires. The plan focuses on coordinating administration, emergency services, and local governments, with specific emphasis on organizing transport for vulnerable groups, including seniors, hospital patients, and people with disabilities.
