Poland implements vocational training and SME development programs
Various regional development and vocational training initiatives are being implemented in Poland through European funding.
Fundusz Górnośląski SA has opened a recruitment period for the project ‘Development of SME employee competencies through development services.’ The program, which runs until October 2, 2026, offers funding for training. Additional points in the application process can be awarded for employee participation in qualification-based services or for involving employees aged 55 and older. The variable conversion amount for training recruitment is set at 7,500 PLN per person.
In Kraków, the ‘Vocational Competence Center in the Kraków Municipality’ project has completed 595 student internships conducted between July and August 2025. Funded by the European Social Fund Plus and the ‘European Funds for Małopolska 2021–2027’ program, the initiative provided 140-hour internships for students from 16 vocational schools. A total of 1,845,928 PLN was paid out in internship stipends, and 668,066 PLN was reimbursed to host entities.
