Poland introduces online platform for tax-seized vehicle auctions

A new online system in Poland allows for easier access to vehicle auctions involving assets seized by tax authorities. The platform, elicytacje.mf.gov.pl, facilitates the sale of vehicles through auctions, tenders, or direct sales to help the state recover tax arrears more quickly.

Currently, approximately one thousand vehicles are listed, including passenger cars, delivery vans, trucks, construction machinery, and motorcycles. These vehicles were seized during enforcement proceedings or confiscated from intoxicated drivers. While starting prices are often significantly lower than estimated market values, the tax authorities do not assume responsibility for the technical condition or hidden defects of the items being sold.
