Poland invests nearly 26 million zł in two major regional bike trail projects

A 13.96 million‑zł cycling route is being built across several gminas in Kolbuszowski County, with 12.52 million zł of funding from the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget covering almost 90 % of costs. The project, led by Gmina Niwiska and partnered with Gmina Dzikowiec, Gmina Cmolas, Gmina Raniżów, Gmina Majdan Królewski and the Municipal Cultural Centre in Kolbuszowa, will include rest areas, signage, small‑architecture elements and a viewpoint tower.

In the Łódź region, a letter of intent was signed in Pęczniew to launch the Velo Warta route, a planned over‑200‑km trail along the Warta River. The initiative, supported by Marshal Joanna Skrzydlewska, Deputy Marshal Agnieszka Ryś and representatives of 19 gmin, aims to boost active tourism, improve safe mobility and create new jobs. The Regional Road Board in Łódź will oversee preparation of the investment.
