Poland issues mobilization cards to military reserves and specialists

Military Recruitment Centers in Poland are issuing mobilization cards to prepare for potential crisis situations. These cards are primarily sent to members of the military reserve who have completed military qualification, but they may also be issued to civilians with specialized skills essential to defense, such as doctors, IT specialists, and logistics experts.

The cards use color-coded stripes to indicate specific duties:

• Red stripe: For passive reserve soldiers who must report to a designated unit immediately upon the outbreak of war or mobilization. • Green stripe: For passive reserve soldiers who are called up following an official announcement or a specific summons card. • Blue stripe: For employee mobilization assignments, intended for staff within the Ministry of National Defense or other individuals required to perform work supporting the military, typically behind the front lines.

Certain exemptions apply, including individuals serving final prison sentences, those living permanently abroad, or those deemed unfit due to age or health. Additionally, caregivers of children under the age of eight are not subject to mobilization. Ignoring mobilization orders can result in up to three years of imprisonment.
