Poland labor law: Wage transparency gaps in job offers

New labor law regulations in Poland regarding wage transparency have not led to a widespread appearance of salary ranges in job advertisements. Although changes to the Labor Code took effect at the end of 2025, requiring employers to inform candidates about potential earnings during the recruitment process, many job postings still list compensation as “to be negotiated.”

The law does not mandate that salary ranges be published directly within the job advertisement itself. Instead, employers are permitted to disclose specific pay rates or ranges at various stages, such as before the first interview or prior to the establishment of the employment relationship. As long as the candidate receives the required information in a timely manner during the recruitment process, the employer remains in compliance with the regulations.
