Poland launches Childhood Without Violence campaign
The national campaign ‘Childhood Without Violence’ is running in Poland from October 5 to November 19, 2026. Organized by the Fundacja Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę and the National Coalition for Child Protection, the initiative aims to raise social awareness regarding physical, psychological, and emotional abuse against children.
Research indicates that one in three children in Poland experiences violence from adults, while two-thirds experience violence from peers. This edition of the campaign places a specific emphasis on psychological violence—such as shouting, humiliation, constant criticism, or ignoring—noting that these invisible actions can be as destructive as physical abuse and lead to deep trauma.
The campaign encourages adults to recognize warning signs, including isolation, sudden behavioral changes, or fear of adults, and promotes the importance of open communication and supportive upbringing to ensure children feel safe and respected.
