Poland launches free military summer training program for young adults
A new edition of the "Wakacje z wojskiem" (Summer with the Military) program begins on Monday, offering free 27‑day military training courses to people aged 18‑35 across roughly 90 locations in Poland. Participants receive a gross salary of about 6,000 zł, together with accommodation, meals, uniform, medical care and insurance. The scheme targets high‑school graduates, university students and job‑seekers looking for seasonal work. Enrollees can choose among land forces, armored, airborne, missile units or the navy, and training covers tactics, shooting, field survival, hand‑to‑hand combat and equipment handling. The Ministry of National Defence presents the initiative as a modern, practical pathway toward reserve service, Territorial Defence, or a professional military career.
