Poland launches medical evacuation for Piotr Moczulski from Philippines

The Polish Ministry of National Defence has launched a medical evacuation operation to bring Piotr Moczulski back to Poland from the Philippines. Moczulski has been hospitalized in Cebu for approximately two and a half years following a severe scooter accident in April 2024.

To facilitate the long-distance transport, the Ministry deployed a Gulfstream G550, a specialized government aircraft equipped for medical transport. The mission was authorized by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The aircraft, accompanied by a military medical evacuation team, is expected to fly approximately 15 hours to reach Cebu.

Before departure, medical staff at Chong Hua Hospital are conducting rigorous tests, including altitude, respiratory, and pressure assessments, to prepare Moczulski for the flight. Upon landing in Poland, he will be transferred via specialized ambulance directly to a hospital emergency department in Białystok for further treatment and examination.
