Poland launches nationwide educational campaign to support student career choices

The Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, in collaboration with the Information Processing Centre (OPI-PIB), has launched a nationwide promotional campaign titled ‘Zanim wybierzesz studia – zapytaj ELĘ’ (Before you choose your studies – ask ELA).

Inaugurated at the University of Gdańsk, the initiative aims to assist prospective students in making informed educational decisions using economic data to reduce university dropout rates. Minister of Science and Higher Education, Marcin Kulasek, noted that dropout rates in certain fields can reach as high as 65 percent. The campaign utilizes the ELA system, which contains data on 7 million graduates, to help students understand market opportunities, potential earnings, and career paths.
