Polish student support and educational initiatives

Overview

Poland has introduced several initiatives aimed at supporting students through data-driven guidance and financial assistance.

In early September 2026, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, alongside the Information Processing Centre, launched the ‘Zanim wybierzesz studia – zapytaj ELĘ’ campaign. This nationwide program uses the ELA system, which tracks data from 7 million graduates, to help prospective students make informed career and educational choices to combat high dropout rates in certain fields.

Following this, various scholarship and grant programs were implemented to support academic and personal development. These include monthly stipends for outstanding youth from rural areas and the ORLEN Foundation’s ‘Mogę więcej’ program, which provides one-time payments to individuals with experience in foster care. Additionally, local governments in regions such as Gdynia and Zgorzelec have awarded scholarships for excellence in science, art, and sports, while environmental grants have been provided to preschools for ecological education projects.
